Branding | The Secret Sauce to Successful Lead Conversion

What is it that your brand is saying about you? Do you know? Whether you are at the beginning of your journey or an established company, this is something to keep your eye on. The pulse of your client identity in conjunction with your brand is what keeps those organic leads flowing in along with referrals. Your brand is what people can expect from you before they even come into contact with you and your employees. The work that you put into this really does make a difference!

Brand Marketing is really broken down into two phases: Brand Awareness in conjunction with Lead Generation.

One without the other means your potential clients are getting lost. They are actively looking for a solution to their problem, so when they stumble across your solution; both pieces need to be in place.

Brand Awareness

Most people can understand what their brand awareness should be, it’s the getting there that people tend to stumble with. Creating this really comes from the ground up. From your logo, to your website, to your social media; this needs to be clean, consistent, and a mirror image of what kind of clients you would like to have. This does not by any means have to come across as stuffy and boring. Fun, quirky, colorful brands are amazing! It just means that from top to bottom, you need to understand how what you are putting out affects your relationship with future clients.

This reflects things like: are you a luxury or blue-collar brand, are you a technical or creative company, are your clients repeat or one-off clients. Things like your brand mission statement and tagline are all tied to your overall brand awareness to either help or hurt you. Entrepreneur magazine has an excellent article about creating your brand if you want to read more about branding specifically!

Lead Generation:

A well-built brand is a way to funnel prospective clients into leads, ie lead generation. This can be things like email sign ups, phone call buttons, free downloads, and online events. There are so many more ways to get your lurking audience to convert over to actual leads beyond this, but without the branding to back it up, people are more hesitant to act.

Think about those shops that you see all over Instagram. The outfits are cute, the models are great, but the brand presence hasn’t yet been established. Halara did an excellent job of breaking through that barrier on TikTok with persistent ads and influencer marketing before shifting over more to customer reviews. They were a newer brand that needed to get their foot in the door. Their overall message and branding meant they were set up for the success that was to come.

How do you know if your branding is working well?

Here are some ways that you can check in on your branding:

  1. Survey your current clients! Ask them what they like about your vibe.

  2. Test different versions of lead conversion. Give a page a little TLC and see if it makes a difference.

  3. Look at your entire company's image as a whole. Is it cohesive and interchangeable? If not, come up with templates that make it flow.

  4. Check out how you compare with your competition. Do you look a little rough around the edges in comparison?
